Refuting Neil Littlejohn ( converted2attackingislam)

Note : 'I would like you to know that  Neil Little-John  copies from an anti Islam website, He just copies articles belonging to Sam and so he doesn't come out with anything new''

 Let's start

He said :‘In tafseer Al Jalalayan....’ in terms of your coptic  hand  Mariyah when he lay with her......

The response : 1- At the beginning you used to take from Ibn Katheer , but this time you took from Tafseer AlJalalayn though  Ibn Katheer mentioned more than one  reasons for reevaluation of the Ayah.Do you know why ?
Because you just want to attack Islam.Even you ignored the authentic hadith in Two Sahihs ( Al-Bukhari and Muslim ) and you just took Mursal narration!

This story you have mentioned  Is in Tafseer aljalalayn  Is Mursal and one of them was narrated by Zaid Bin Asslam and it was authenticated  by Ibn Hajar and Assan'aani.Though they authenticated it but it is still Mursal narration.

Ibn Hajar narrated that Al Qadhi E’yadh said’ this story did not come from any authentic source '

HOWEVER THE FOLLOWING ARE THE OTHER  NARRATIONS WHICH NEIL DID NOT SHOW , AND THEY ARE THE MOST AUTHENTIC HADITHS :

Narrated `Ubaid bin `Umar:

I heard `Aisha saying, "The Prophet () used to stay for a long while with Zanab bint Jahsh and drink honey at her house. So Hafsa and I decided that if the Prophet () came to anyone of us, she should say him, "I detect the smell of Maghafir (a nasty smelling gum) in you. Have you eaten Maghafir?' " So the Prophet () visited one of them and she said to him similarly. The Prophet () said, "Never mind, I have taken some honey at the house of Zainab bint Jahsh, but I shall never drink of it anymore." So there was revealed: 'O Prophet ! Why do you ban (for you) that which Allaah has made lawful for you . . . If you two (wives of Prophet) turn in repentance to Allaah,' (66.1-4) addressing Aisha and Hafsa. 'When the Prophet () disclosed a matter in confidence to some of his wives.' (66.3) namely his saying: But I have taken some honey." Al Bukhari

Narrated Ibn `Abbas: 'For the whole year I had the desire to ask `Umar bin Al-Khattab regarding the explanation of an Ayah (in Surat Al-Tahrim) but I could not ask him because I respected him very much. When he went to perform the Hajj, I too went along with him. On our return, while we were still on the way home. `Umar went aside to answer the call of nature by the Arak trees. I waited till he finished and then I proceeded with him and asked him. "O chief of the Believers! Who were the two wives of the Prophet who aided one another against him?" He said, "They were Hafsa and `Aisha." Then I said to him, "By Allaah, I wanted to ask you about this a year ago, but I could not do so owing to my respect for you." `Umar said, "Do not refrain from asking me. If you think that I have knowledge (about a certain matter), ask me; and if I know (something about it), I will tell you." Then `Umar added, "By Allaah, in the Pre-lslamic Period of Ignorance we did not pay attention to women until Allaah revealed regarding them what He revealed regarding them and assigned for them what He has assigned. Once while I was thinking over a certain matter, my wife said, "I recommend that you do so-and-so." I said to her, "What have you got to do with the is matter? Why do you poke your nose in a matter which I want to see fulfilled.?" She said, How strange you are, O son of Al-Khattab! You don't want to be argued with whereas your daughter, Hafsa surely, argues with Allaah's Messenger so much that he remains angry for a full day!" `Umar then reported; how he at once put on his outer garment and went to Hafsa and said to her, "O my daughter! Do you argue with Allah's Messenger so that he remains angry the whole day?" Hafsa said, "By Allaah, we argue with him." `Umar said, "Know that I warn you of Allah's punishment and the anger of Allah's Messenger . . . O my daughter! Don't be betrayed by the one who is proud of her beauty because of the love of Allaah's Messenger for her (i.e. `Aisha)." `Umar addled, "Then I went out to Um Salama's house who was one of my relatives, and I talked to her. She said, O son of Al-Khattab! It is rather astonishing that you interfere in everything; you even want to interfere between Allaah's Messenger and his wives!' By Allaah , by her talk she influenced me so much that I lost some of my anger. I left her (and went home). At that time I had a friend from the Ansar who used to bring news (from the Prophet) in case of my absence, and I used to bring him the news if he was absent. In those days we were afraid of one of the kings of Ghassan tribe. We heard that he intended to move and attack us, so fear filled our hearts because of that. (One day) my Ansari friend unexpectedly knocked at my door, and said, "Open Open!' I said, 'Has the king of Ghassan come?' He said, 'No, but something worse; Allah's Messenger has isolated himself from his wives.' I said, 'Let the nose of `Aisha and Hafsa be stuck to dust (i.e. humiliated)!' Then I put on my clothes and went to Allaah's Messenger's residence, and behold, he was staying in an upper room of his to which he ascended by a ladder, and a black slave of Allah's Messenger was (sitting) on the first step. I said to him, 'Say (to the Prophet ) `Umar bin Al-Khattab is here.' Then the Prophet admitted me and I narrated the story to Allah's Messenger. When I reached the story of Um Salama, Allaah'sMessenger smiled while he was lying on a mat made of palm tree leaves with nothing between him and the mat. Underneath his head there was a leather pillow stuffed with palm fibres, and leaves of a saut tree were piled at his feet, and above his head hung a few water skins. On seeing the marks of the mat imprinted on his side, I wept. He said.' 'Why are you weeping?' I replied, "O Allaah's messenger ! Caesar and Khosrau are leading the life (i.e. Luxurious life) while you, Allaah'sMessenger though you are, is living in destitute". The Prophet then replied. 'Won't you be satisfied that they enjoy this world and we the Hereafter?'   ِAl Bukhari

A'isha (Allaah be pleased with her) narrated that Allah's Messenger () used to spend time with Zainab daughter of Jahsh and drank honey at her house. She ('A'isha further) said:I and Hafsa agreed that one whom A;;aah's Messenger() would visit first should say: I notice that you have an odour of the Maghafir (gum of mimosa). He (the Prophet) visited one of them and she said to him like this, whereupon he said: I have taken honey in the house of Zainab bint Jabsh and I will never do it again. It was at this (that the following  Ayah was revealed): 'Why do you hold to be forbidden what Allah has made lawful for you... (up to). If you both ('A'isha and Hafsa) turn to Allah" up to:" And when the Prophet confided an information to one of his wives" (lxvi. 3). This refers to his saying: But I have taken honey. Muslim

There is another narration about his female slave but it is not the same story which you have taken from Al Jalalayn :
It was narrated from Anas, that the Messenger of Allah had a female slave with whom he had intercourse, but 'Aishah and Hafsah would not leave him alone until he said that she was forbidden for him. Then Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, revealed:
"O Prophet! Why do you forbid (for yourself) that which Allah has allowed to you.' until the end of the Ayah.' Al Nisaa'i

Though An-Nissa'i mentioned the same narration which was mentioned in Al Bukhary and Muslim :
'Aishah said that the Messenger of Allah used to stay with Zainab bint Jahsh and drink honey at her house. Hafsah and I agreed that if the Prophet entered upon either of us, she would say:
"I perceive the smell of Maghafir (a nasty-smelling gum) on you; have you eaten Maghafir?" He came in to one of them, and she said that to him. He said: "No, rather I drank honey at the house of Zainab bint Jahsh, but I will never do it again." Then the following was revealed: 'O Prophet! Why do you forbid (for yourself) that which Allah has allowed to you.' 'If you two turn in repentance to Allah, (it will be better for you)' about 'Aishah and Hafsah, 'And (remember) when the Prophet disclosed a matter in confidence to one of his wives' refers to him saying: "No, rather I drank honey."

There could be more than one reason fro revelation of one Ayah. However, the reason which was mentioned in Al-Bukhary and Muslim is the most authentic Sanad ( chain of narration ) which you ignored and did not give any attention to.

2-The prophet Mohammad was not only one who had slave in his time.He was not the only prophet owned slaves .

The Solomon of the bible  ( please do not take this as insulting  Judaism and  Christianity)
((1 Kings 11 : [1] But king Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites;
[2] Of the nations concerning which the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon clave unto these in love.
[3] And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines: and his wives turned away his heart.
[4] For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father.
[5] For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites.
[6] And Solomon did evil in the sight of the LORD, and went not fully after the LORD, as did David his father.
[7] Then did Solomon build an high place for Chemosh, the abomination of Moab, in the hill that is before Jerusalem, and for Molech, the abomination of the children of Ammon.
[8] And likewise did he for all his strange wives, which burnt incense and sacrificed unto their gods.
[9] And the LORD was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned from the LORD God of Israel, which had appeared unto him twice,
[10] And had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods: but he kept not that which the LORD commanded.
[11] Wherefore the LORD said unto Solomon, Forasmuch as this is done of thee, and thou hast not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded thee, I will surely rend the kingdom from thee, and will give it to thy servant.))

Yes, Prophet Solomon had many wives, but he was not evil man :We read in the Noble Quraan :
102. They followed what the Shayatin (devils) gave out (falsely of the magic) in the lifetime of Sulaiman (Solomon). Sulaiman did not disbelieve, but the Shayatin (devils) disbelieved, teaching men magic and such things that came down at Babylon to the two angels, Harut and Marutbut neither of these two (angels) taught anyone (such things) till they had said, "We are only for trial, so disbelieve not (by learning this magic from us)." And from these (angels) people learn that by which they cause separation between man and his wife, but they could not thus harm anyone except by Allah's Leave. And they learn that which harms them and profits them not. And indeed they knew that the buyers of it (magic) would have no share in the Hereafter. And how bad indeed was that for which they sold their ownselves, if they but knew.)

What about the David of the Bible:

David ‘s characters in the Bible :

2 Samuel2
Samuel11 :
[2] And it came to pass in an eveningtide, that David arose from off his bed, and walked upon the roof of the king's house: and from the roof he saw a woman washing herself; and the woman was very beautiful to look upon.
[3] And David sent and inquired after the woman. And one said, Is not this Bath-sheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite?
[4] And David sent messengers, and took her; and she came in unto him, and he lay with her; for she was purified from her uncleanness: and she returned unto her house.
[5] And the woman conceived, and sent and told David, and said, I am with child.
[6] And David sent to Joab, saying, Send me Uriah the Hittite. And Joab sent Uriah to David.
[7] And when Uriah was come unto him, David demanded of him how Joab did, and how the people did, and how the war prospered.
[8] And David said to Uriah, Go down to thy house, and wash thy feet. And Uriah departed out of the king's house, and there followed him a mess of meat from the king.
[9] But Uriah slept at the door of the king's house with all the servants of his lord, and went not down to his house.
[10] And when they had told David, saying, Uriah went not down unto his house, David said unto Uriah, Camest thou not from thy journey? why then didst thou not go down unto thine house?
[11] And Uriah said unto David, The ark, and Israel, and Judah, abide in tents; and my lord Joab, and the servants of my lord, are encamped in the open fields; shall I then go into mine house, to eat and to drink, and to lie with my wife? as thou livest, and as thy soul liveth, I will not do this thing.
[12] And David said to Uriah, Tarry here to day also, and to morrow I will let thee depart. So Uriah abode in Jerusalem that day, and the morrow.
[13] And when David had called him, he did eat and drink before him; and he made him drunk: and at even he went out to lie on his bed with the servants of his lord, but went not down to his house.
[14] And it came to pass in the morning, that David wrote a letter to Joab, and sent it by the hand of Uriah.
[15] And he wrote in the letter, saying, Set ye Uriah in the forefront of the hottest battle, and retire ye from him, that he may be smitten, and die.
[16] And it came to pass, when Joab observed the city, that he assigned Uriah unto a place where he knew that valiant men were.
[17] And the men of the city went out, and fought with Joab: and there fell some of the people of the servants of David; and Uriah the Hittite died also.

Deuteronomy:21 : [10] When thou goest forth to war against thine enemies, and the LORD thy God hath delivered them into thine hands, and thou hast taken them captive,
[11] And seest among the captives a beautiful woman, and hast a desire unto her, that thou wouldest have her to thy wife;
[12] Then thou shalt bring her home to thine house; and she shall shave her head, and pare her nails;
[13] And she shall put the raiment of her captivity from off her, and shall remain in thine house, and bewail her father and her mother a full month: and after that thou shalt go in unto her, and be her husband, and she shall be thy wife.
[14] And it shall be, if thou have no delight in her, then thou shalt let her go whither she will; but thou shalt not sell her at all for money, thou shalt not make merchandise of her, because thou hast humbled her.

Numbers 31: [15] And Moses said unto them, Have ye saved all the women alive?
[16] Behold, these caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against the LORD in the matter of Peor, and there was a plague among the congregation of the LORD.[17] Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him.
[18] But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.
[19] And do ye abide without the camp seven days: whosoever hath killed any person, and whosoever hath touched any slain, purify both yourselves and your captives on the third day, and on the seventh day.
[20] And purify all your raiment, and all that is made of skins, and all work of goats' hair, and all things made of wood.
[21] And Eleazar the priest said unto the men of war which went to the battle, This is the ordinance of the law which the LORD commanded Moses;’

And what did the R. Simeon b. Yohai understand from Numbers 31?

let us  read from Jewish sources :

Babylonian Talmud: Tractate Yebamoth ,Yebamoth 60b

It was taught: R. Simeon b. Yohai stated: A proselyte who is under the age of three years and one day is permitted to marry a priest,13  for it is said, But all the women children that have not known man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves,14-  ( HE means numbers 31 which I have mentioned above )  and Phinehas15  surely was with them. And the Rabbis?16  — [These were kept alive] as bondmen and bondwomen.17  If so,18  a proselyte whose age is three years and one day19  should also be permitted! — [The prohibition is to be explained] in accordance with R. Huna. For R. Huna pointed out a contradiction: It is written, Kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him,20
Babylonian Talmud: Tractate Niddah, Folio 44b
‘MISHNAH. A GIRL OF THE AGE OF THREE YEARS AND ONE DAY MAY BE BETROTHED23  BY INTERCOURSE; IF THE YABAM24  HAD INTERCOURSE WITH HER, HE ACQUIRES HER THEREBY;25  THE GUILT26  OF ADULTERY27  MAY BE INCURRED THROUGH HER,28  AND SHE29  CAUSES UNCLEANNESS TO THE MAN WHO HAD INTERCOURSE WITH HER SO THAT HE IN TURN CONVEYS UNCLEANNESS TO THAT UPON WHICH HE LIES,30

 Questioning prophet Mohammad (

this is an amazing quotation from Islam-guide :

''If we compare the life of Muhammad  before his mission as a prophet and his life after he began his mission as a prophet, we will conclude that it is beyond reason to think that Muhammad  was a false prophet, who claimed prophethood to attain material gains, greatness, glory, or power. Before his mission as a prophet, Muhammad  had no financial worries.  As a successful and reputed merchant, Muhammad  drew a satisfactory and comfortable income.  After his mission as a prophet and because of it, he became worse off materially.  To clarify this more, let us browse the following sayings on his life:  Aa’isha, Muhammad’s  wife, said, “O my nephew, we would sight three new moons in two months without lighting a fire (to cook a meal) in the Prophet’s  houses.”  Her nephew asked, “O Aunt, what sustained you?”  She said, “The two black things, dates and water, but the Prophet had some Ansar neighbors who had milk-giving she-camels and they used to send the Prophet some of its milk.”  Sahl Ibn Sa’ad, one of Muhammad’s companions, said, “The Prophet of God  did not see bread made from fine flour from the time God sent him (as a prophet) until he died.  Aa’isha, Muhammad’s  wife, said, “The mattress of the Prophet , on which he slept, was made of leather stuffed with the fiber of the date-palm tree.”  Amr Ibn Al-Hareth, one of Muhammad’s companions, said that when the Prophet  died, he left neither money nor anything else except his white riding mule, his arms, and a piece of land which he left to charity.
Muhammad  lived this hard life till he died although the Muslim treasury was at his disposal, the greater part of the Arabian Peninsula was Muslim before he died, and the Muslims were victorious after eighteen years of his mission. Is it possible that Muhammad  might have claimed prophethood in order to attain status, greatness, and power?  The desire to enjoy status and power is usually associated with good food, fancy clothing, monumental palaces, colorful guards, and indisputable authority.  Do any of these indicators apply to Muhammad ?  A few glimpses of his life that may help answer this question follow.''

What about Prophet Mohammad ( صلى الله عليه وسلم) ‘s slaves ?
Amr ibn Al-Harith, the brother of Juwayriyyah, the wife of the Prophet, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, said, “When the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, died he did not leave a dinar or a dirham or a male or a female slave. He left only his white mule, his weapon, and a piece of land which he gave in charity.” Al-Bukhari

Narrated Asma: "No doubt the Prophet ordered people to manumit slaves during the solar eclipse’ Al-Bukhari

Why did Jews live  in Madeena (the city where the prophet Mohammad emigrated  to and lived in )?

Habakkuk Chapter 3 חֲבַקּוּק (Hebrew Bible )(3 God cometh from Teman, and the Holy One from mount Paran.  Selah  His glory covereth the heavens, and the earth is full of His praise.)
Strong's Hebrew Dictionary :

Ps:84:6: Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools. (KJV)

Biblical Commentary on the Old Testament, by Carl Friedrich Keil and Franz Delitzsh, [1857-78]: ((
עמק הבּכא does not signify the "Valley of weeping," as Hupfeld at last((  renders it (lxx κοιλάδα τοῦ κλαυθμῶνος), although Burckhardt found a [Arab.] wâdı̂ 'l-bk' (Valley of     weeping) in the neighbourhood of Sinai. In Hebrew "weeping" is בּכי, בּכה, בּכוּת, not בּכא, Rnan, in the fourth chapter of his Vie de Jsus, understands the expression to mean the last station of those who journey from northern Palestine on this side of the Jordan towards Jerusalem, viz., Ain el-Haramı̂je, in a narrow and gloomy valley where a black stream of water flows out of the rocks in which graves are dug, so that consequently עמק הככא signifies Valley of tears or of trickling waters. But such trickling out of the rock is also called בּכי, Job 28:11, and not בּכא. This latter is the singular to בּכאים in Sa2 5:24 (cf. נכאים, צבאים, Psa 103:21), the name of a tree, and, according to the old Jewish     lexicographers, of the mulberry-tree (Talmudic תּוּת, Arab. tût); but according to the designation, of a tree from which some kind of fluid flows, and such a tree is the Arab. baka'un, resembling the balsam-tree, which is very common in the arid valley of Mecca, and therefore might also have given its name to some arid valley of the Holy Land (vid., Winer's Realwrterbuch, s.v. Bacha), and, according to Sa2 5:22-25, to one belonging, as it would appear, to the line of valley which leads from the coasts of the Philistines to Jerusalem))

‘’ 96. Verily, the first House (of worship) appointed for mankind was that at Bakkah (Makkah), full of blessing, and a guidance for Al-'Alamin (the mankind and jinns).

97. In it are manifest signs (for example), the Maqam (place) of Ibrahim (Abraham); whosoever enters it, he attains security. And Hajj (pilgrimage to Makkah) to the House (Ka'bah) is a duty that mankind owes to Allah, those who can afford the expenses (for one's conveyance, provision and residence); and whoever disbelieves [i.e. denies Hajj (pilgrimage to Makkah), then he is a disbeliever of Allah], then Allah stands not in need of any of the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns).’ The noble Quraan, Aal-i’mraan

John.4 : [19] The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.
[20] Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship. [21] Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.

 look at his simple life!

Aisha, may Allaah be pleased with her, said, “The family of Muhammad, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, had never satisfied their hunger with barley bread for two consecutive days till the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, died.” [Agreed upon]
‘Umar ibn Al-Khattab, may Allaah be pleased with him, mentioned what people have got from this worldly life, and said: “I saw the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, staying a day writhing (of hunger), without finding even a bad kind of date to fill his stomach”. [Muslim]

Utba ibn Ghazwan, may Allaah be pleased with him, said, “I found myself as the seventh amongst the seven who had been along with the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him. We had nothing to eat but the leaves of hubla (a wild tree) until the corners of our mouths were injured.” Muslim

Aisha, may Allaah be pleased with her, said “The bed mattress of the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, was made of a leather case stuffed with palm fibres.” Al-Bukhari

Abdullah bin `Umar said, "Allaah's Messenger took hold of my shoulder and said, 'Be in this world as if you were a stranger or a traveler." The sub-narrator added: Ibn `Umar used to say, "If you survive till the evening, do not expect to be alive in the morning, and if you survive till the morning, do not expect to be alive in the evening, and take from your health for your sickness, and (take) from your life for your death." Al-Bukhary

'I heard Khabbab, who had branded his `Abdomen with seven brands, saying, "Had Allaah's Messenger not forbidden us to invoke Allaah for death, I would have invoked Allaah for death. The companions of Muhammad have left this world without taking anything of their reward in it (i.e., they will have perfect reward in the Hereafter), but we have collected of the worldly wealth what we cannot spend but on earth (i.e. on building houses). Al-Bukhary

“A man came to the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, and said, ‘I am hard pressed by hunger’. He sent to one of his wives. She said, ‘By Him Who has sent you with Truth there is nothing we have but only water.’ He then sent to another and she gave the same reply until all of them gave the same reply, ‘No. By Him Who has sent you with Truth there is nothing we have but only water.” Muslim

Jabir, may Allaah be pleased with her, narrated that the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, asked his family for condiment. They said: We have nothing with us but vinegar. He asked for it and he began to eat it, and then he said, “What a good condiment Vinegar is”. Jabir said, “I have always loved vinegar since I heard it from the Prophet, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him.” Muslim

Abu Huraira, may Allaah be pleased with him, narrated that the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, went out (of his house) one day or one night, and there he found Abu Bakr and ‘Umar also, may Allaah be pleased with them. He said, “What has brought you out of your houses at this hour? They said, ‘O Allaah’s Messenger, it is hunger.’ Thereupon he said, ‘By Him in Whose Hand is my life, what has brought you out has brought me out too; get up.’ They got up along with him. They came to the house of an Ansari man, but he was not at home. When his wife saw him (the Prophet) she said, ‘You are most welcome.’ The Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, said to her, ‘Where is so and so?’ She said, ‘He has gone to get some fresh water for us.’ When the Ansari man came and he saw the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, and his two Companions, he said, ‘Praise be to Allaah, no one has more honorable guests today than I (have).’ He then went out and brought them a bunch of ripe dates, dry dates and fresh dates, and said, ‘Eat some of them.’ He then took hold of his long knife (for slaughtering a goat or a sheep). The Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, said to him, ‘Beware of slaughtering a milk animal.’ He slaughtered a sheep for them and after they had eaten of it and of the bunch and drank, and when they had taken their fill and had been fully satisfied with the drink, the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, said to Abu Bakr and ‘Umar, ‘By Him in Whose Hand my life is, you will certainly be questioned about this bounty on the Day of judgment. Hunger brought you out of your house, and then you did not return until this bounty came to you.’” [ Muslim ]

‘Urwa narrated that Aisha, may Allaah be pleased with her, said “By Allaah O my nephew! We used to see the crescent, and then the crescent and then the crescent, in this way we saw three crescents in two months and no fire (for cooking) used to be made in the houses of the Messenger off Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him.” ‘Urwa said, “O my aunt! Then what used to sustain you?” She said, “The two black things: dates and water. However, the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, had some neighbours from Al-Ansâr (the original people of Medina), and they had milk animals. They used to send milk to the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, and he used to make us drink!” Muslim

Anas said about him: “The Prophet, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, never ate at a dining table until he died nor did he ever eat well-baked thin bread until he died.” Al-Bukhari

Sahl ibn Sa’d, may Allaah be pleased with him, said, “The Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, did not see sifted bread since Allaah Almighty sent him until he took his soul”. He was asked, “Did the people have (use) sieves during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him?” Sahl said, “The Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, never saw (used) a sieve since Allaah sent him as an Messenger until He took him unto Him.” He was said, “How could you eat barley un-sifted?” He said, “We used to grind it and then blow off its husk, and after the husk flew away, we used to prepare the dough (bake) and eat it.” Al-Bukhari

(Muslim)

Anas ibn Malik, may Allaah be pleased with him, narrated that Abu Talha said to Um Sulaim, “I have noticed feebleness in the voice of the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, which I think, is caused by hunger. Have you got any food?” She said, “Yes.” She brought out some loaves of barley and took out a veil belonging to her, she wrapped the bread in part of it and put it under my arm and wrapped part of the veil round me and sent me to the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him. I went carrying it and found the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, in the Mosque sitting with some people. When I stood there, the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, asked, “Has Abu Talha sent you?” I said, “Yes”. He asked, “With some food? I said, “Yes.” The Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, then said to the men around him, “Get up!” He set out (accompanied by them) and I went ahead of them till I reached Abu Talha (and told him of the Prophet’s visit). Abu Talha said, “O Um Sulaim! The Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, is coming with the people and we have no food to feed them.” She said, “Allaah and His Messenger know better.” So Abu Talha went out to receive the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him. Abu Talha and the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, came along until they entered the house. The Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, said, “O Um Sulaim! Bring whatever you have.” She brought that bread which Allaah’s Messenger ordered to be broken into pieces. Um Sulaim poured on them some butter from an oilskin. Then the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, recited what Allaah wished him to recite, and then said, “Let ten persons come (to share the meal).” Ten persons were admitted; they ate their fill and went out. Then he said, “Let ten persons come (to share the meal).” They were admitted, ate their fill and went out. Then he again said, ‘‘Let ten persons come (to share the meal)” They were admitted, ate their fill and went out. Then he said, “Let another ten persons come.” In short, all of them ate their fill, and they were eighty men.”[Agreed upon]

It is reported that Aisha, may Allaah be pleased with her, said, “When the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, died nothing which can be eaten by a living creature was left on my shelf except a half of barley grain. I ate from it for a long period and when I measured it, it finished.” [Agreed upon] At-Tirmidhi said, “a half of barley grain” means some barley grain”

Anas, may Allaah be pleased with him, said, “The Prophet, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, mortgaged his armor for barley. Once I took barley bread with some dissolved fat on it to the Prophet, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, and I heard him saying, “The household of Muhammad did possess not anything but a sâ’ for both the morning and the evening meals, although they are nine houses.” Al-Bukhari

The hardship the Prophet Mohammad went through :

1-‘ 30. And (remember) when the disbelievers plotted against you (O Muhammad ) to imprison you, or to kill you, or to get you out (from your home, i.e. Makkah); they were plotting and Allaah too was planning, and Allaah is the Best of the planners.’Al-Anfaal

‘40. If you help him (Muhammad ) not (it does not matter), for Allaah did indeed help him when the disbelievers drove him out, the second of two, when they (Muhammad  and Abu Bakr ) were in the cave, and he said to his companion (Abu Bakr ): "Be not sad (or afraid), surely Allaah is with us." Then Allaah sent down His Sakinah (calmness, tranquillity, peace, etc.) upon him, and strengthened him with forces (angels) which you saw not, and made the word of those who disbelieved the lowermost, while it was the Word of Allaah that became the uppermost, and Allaah is All-Mighty, All-Wise.’ At-tawbah

2- ‘Urwa ibn Az-Zubair, may Allaah be pleased with him, said, “I asked Abdullah ibn Amr ibn Al-&’Acs about the worst thing which the pagans did to the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him. He said, “[While the Prophet was praying in the Hijr of the Ka’ba;] ‘Uqba ibn Abu Mu’ait came and took the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, by the shoulder and put his garment around his neck and squeezed it violently. Abu Bakr came and caught him by his shoulder and pushed him away from the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, and said, “{Would you kill a man because he says: My Lord is Allâh, and he has come to you with clear signs (proofs) from your Lord?}” Al Bukhari
Narrated `Abdullah: While Allaah's Messenger  was prostrating (as stated below). Narrated `Abdullah bin Mas`ud: Once the Prophet  was offering prayers at the Ka`ba. Abu Jahl was sitting with some of his companions. One of them said to the others, "Who amongst you will bring the Abdominal contents (intestines, etc.) of a camel of Bani so and so and put it on the back of Muhammad, when he prostrates?" The most unfortunate of them got up and brought it. He waited till the Prophet prostrated and then placed it on his back between his shoulders. I was watching but could not do any thing. I wish I had some people with me to hold out against them. They started laughing and falling on one another. Allaah's Messenger  was in prostration and he did not lift his head up till Fatima (Prophet's daughter) came and threw that (camel's Abdominal contents) away from his back. He raised his head and said thrice, "O Allaah! Punish Quraish." So it was hard for Abu Jahl and his companions when the Prophet invoked Allaah against them as they had a conviction that the prayers and invocations were accepted in this city (Mecca). The Prophet  said, "O Allaah! Punish Abu Jahl, `Utba bin Rabi`a, Shaiba bin Rabi`a, Al-Walid bin `Utba, Umaiya bin Khalaf, and `Uqba bin Al Mu'it  (and he mentioned the seventh whose name I cannot recall). By Allaah in Whose Hands my life is, I saw the dead bodies of those persons who were counted by Allaah's Messenger  in the Qalib (one of the wells) of Badr ‘. Al Bukhari

Aisha Said ‘ to the Messenger of Allaah (prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him): “O Messenger of Allaah, has there come upon you a day more worst than the day of Uhud?” He said: “I have experienced from your people, and the hardest treatment I met from them was what I received from them on the day of Al-Aqaba. I betook myself to Ibn Abd Yalayl ibn Abd Kulal (with the purpose of inviting him to Islam), but he did not respond to me as I desired. So I departed with signs of (deep) distress on my face. I did not recover until I reached Qarn Al-Tha’âlib, where I raised my head, lo! near me was a cloud which had cast its shadow on me. I looked and lo! There was in it the angel Jibrîl (peace be upon him) who called out to me and said: Allaah has heard what your people have said to you, and how they have reacted to your call. And He has sent to you the angel in charge of the mountains so that you may order him what you wish (him to do) with regard to them. The angel in charge of the mountains (then) called out to me, greeted me and said: O Muhammad, Allaah has listened to what your people have said to you. I am the angel in charge of the mountains, and your Lord has sent me to you so that you may order me what you wish. If you wish I could close down on them Al-Akhshabayn? (two mountains in Makkah). But the Messenger of Allaah (prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him) said to him: I rather hope that Allaah will produce from their descendants who worship Allaah, alone, and do not ascribe partners to Him.
